Back in 2005, I wrote a piece about the Star Wars films called "A New Sith, or Revenge of the Hope", originally for a mailing list of friends. One of those friends asked if he could host the piece on his website, so that he could point others to it. He did and the piece gradually gained an unexpectedly huge popularity over the next few years.

Recently, the website hosting A New Sith went down, so I've set up this journal to give it a new home. Other pieces that I've written may well find a home here in the near future.
